Latin text apart from section of prayers in French at end. 23 (of ?) woodcut illustrations, including 13 full-page, with replacement woodcut mounted on c1r; each text page within different composite historiated border, including Dance of Death sequence in the Office of the Dead on i2r-k8v. [73] (of ?) leaves. Collation: a in 8 (-a8), c in 4, d-h in 8, ã-ê in 8, õ in 6; lacks the title and gathering b (almanac?). Printed in bâtarde type, 30 lines, on paper. Rubricated. 8vo, 234x150 mm, modern sheep, somewhat worn, with contemporary blind-tooled calf covers laid down, vellum endleaves; marginal foxing and soiling through much of volume, scattered mostly marginal repairs without loss to text or illustrations, dark stains at top of opening leaves, some minor stains elsewhere, numerous pinholes in blank lower margin of e2, single small wormhole through blank lower margins in second half of volume, few marginalia, gift inscription dated 1665 on first page.
